At East Spring Secondary School, our Education and Career Guidance (ECG) initiatives help students discover their purpose, strengths, and interests. We nurture our students’ self-awareness, growth mindset, resilience and adaptability to develop their future potential and career readiness.

POST-SECONDARY EDUCATION PATHWAYS & OPPORTUNITIES
Education & Career Guidance supports you in taking your next step forward after ‘N’ and ‘O’ Level. Consult your ECG Counsellor to develop a deeper understanding of your strengths and interests to make an informed decision regarding your choice of post-secondary education institutions and courses.

Students currently in Sec 1, 2 and 3 undergo secondary school experience and post-secondary school pathways under Full Subject-Based Banding (Full SBB). The Full SBB post-secondary school pathways are illustrated in the infographic below:

Besides providing more flexibility in subject options, Full SBB also allows students to learn in mixed form classes where they can interact with peers of different strengths and interests.
From 2028, changes to post-secondary options and admissions criteria will be implemented. This change is illustrated in the infographic below:
ESSS students are encouraged to consult the school ECG Counsellor to explore the multiple pathways and take necessary action(s) to reach their goals.
Post-Secondary Education – ECG Resources
· Post-Secondary Education comprises the paths our students can take after they complete their secondary school education. Students can learn about the choices available for them to pursue their next phase of learning based on their interests and strengths via Post-secondary | MOE

· Full Subject-Based Banding has been implemented since 2024 for the Secondary One cohort. Students have greater flexibility to offer subjects at different subject levels as they progress through secondary school. Find out more in Ministry of Education (MOE).
