Dear Parents/Guardians,
Welcome to East Spring Secondary School (ESSS)! We welcome your child/ward to our Secondary One cohort in 2026 and we look forward to building a strong partnership with you.
Reporting Time for Day 1 (2 January 2026)
Students are to report in full school uniform at the parade square on the first day of school by 7.20 am. If you do not have the ESSS uniform, your child can report in his/her primary school’s full uniform.
There will be student leaders and signages to guide the students to the reporting area. In the event of wet weather, students will report directly to the assigned classrooms at the first level.
Purchase of Textbooks and School Uniform
You are encouraged to purchase your textbooks and uniforms online and opt for home delivery. Please wait for the instructions for the purchase of books and uniforms, which will be sent to you via Parents Gateway (PG), before you make any purchase. Alternatively, you may choose to come to the school to purchase your textbooks and school uniforms from 9 am to 3 pm.

Students who have been offered all subjects at G3 level: Please purchase G3 books for all your subjects.

Students who have been offered all subjects at G2 level: Please purchase G2 books for all your subjects.

Students who have been offered all subjects at G1 level: Please purchase G1 books for all your subjects.

If you are eligible to take a subject at a more demanding level, please wait for the school's Letter of Offer before purchasing your books for that subject. We will send the Letter of Offer via PG by 22 December 2025.

Higher Mother Tongue Language (HMTL) students: If you are eligible to take HMTL, please wait for the school's Letter of Offer before purchasing your HMTL books. We will send the Letter of Offer via PG by 22 December 2025.
Please note that there will be no sales of books and uniform on 24 and 25 December 2025.

School Smart Card (SSC)
All students entering Secondary One in January 2026 will be issued with a new Secondary level School Smart Card (SSC). While Secondary One Students are waiting for their Secondary level SSCs to be ready, they can continue to use their Primary level SSCs for concessionary travel till end April 2026. Students can purchase the Bus Concession Pass (BCP) using their Primary level SSCs but they would need to purchase the BCP for Secondary School students.
Financial Assistance Scheme (FAS)
MOE FAS students - please do not make any online purchase.
Students are to bring the MOE FAS approval email issued by MOE to ESSS during office hours from 23 December 2025 onwards to collect the ESSS approval document. This document will be used for collecting textbooks from the bookshop and school uniforms from the school uniform vendor. Please arrive at the school by 2 pm if you wish to collect your books and uniform on the same day.
Please note that there will be no sales of books and uniform on 24 and 25 December 2025.
Students who wish to put in a new application for 2026 FAS can apply online by submitting an eFAS application via https://go.gov.sg/moe-efasggas with all relevant supporting documents from 19 December 2025.
